  • How safe and secure is this website? We use industry-standard SSL encryption on all pages that contain ordering information. We also use several third-party security assurance services such as DigiCert, ControlScan and AUTH.NET to protect your privacy and virtually eliminate the possiblility of Identity theft and other threats.   • Can I request a quote or make a partial payment to you for any reason?
    You can add anything you want to your shopping cart, then simply choose "Request for Quote" as the payment tye instead of giving us a form of payment. We will respond to your request as soon as possible and take your final payment over the phone or send an invoice for the quoted amount. You can also use our "Quote-O-Matic" form for anything that you don't see on our website.
  • How do I rent a band instrument from you? You can stop by our Fort Walton Beach or Panama City stores or visit one of our Rental Affiliate stores. Our trained professionals will help you choose an appropriate instrument and accessories if needed. Next, we’ll gather some information from you and print your Rental Agreement. Both parties sign the agreement and a personalized ID tag is attached to the instrument case. The whole process takes between 10-30 minutes.
    If you cannot visit one of our stores, try our Online Rental Application. We can deliver your instrument to work or home with signature delivery confirmation.
    • How much does it cost to rent a band instrument? Our Rental Rates start from $19.95 and up per month depending on the type of band instrument and the options you choose. See our Rental Page for current rates.
    • Can I rent-to-own? You can apply up to 12 months rental equity towards the purchase of any instrument. Our Encore Step-up Plan allows you to upgrade to a higher quality instrument and apply your equity AND get 12 or 24 month special financing!
    • Do I have to fill out a credit application? No. We do require some personal information in order to release one of our instruments into your care.
      All public school band students within our service area are guaranteed a rental instrument under most circumstances. Call 850-243-2514 for additional info.
    • Can you ship a rental to me? Yes. We can ship rental instruments with signature delivery confirmation. You may be asked to digitally sign a Rental Agreement online.
  • Do you rent pianos or other equipment? We do rent pianos and other gear (in some cases). Our piano rental rates start at $40 per month. Short term rentals (for concerts, etc.) are also available. All piano rentals include a minimum delivery and pickup fee of $150 depending on location. Contact our Piano Department Manager for details.

  • Can I pay my bill online? Yes! Our new Online Account Access allows you to pay for Rentals, Lessons, Repairs and Service and purchases.

  • Do you repair and service instruments? Yes! Our world-class Repair and Service Department provides numerous band instrument services from minor adjustments to complete restoration and refinishing. Free estimates are available. See our Repair and Service page for details. We also work with various piano technicians and electronics repair professionals on a referral basis.

  • Can you pick up and deliver to Schools, Home or Workplace? We have a wide variety of delivery and shipping options. We’ll try our best to accommodate your particular needs. Our School Delivery page has details on this very popular program.

  • What types of musical products do you sell?
    Playground Music Center sells Pianos and Keyboards (electronic, upright, grand and player pianos), Band Instruments (all types and various name brands), Stringed instruments (violins, violas, fiddles, cellos, banjos, mandolins, etc.), Guitars and Amps (Fender©, Taylor©, etc.), Drums and Percussion (Sonor©, Tama, Pearl kits, cymbals, sticks, African Percussion, etc.) Sheet Music (in store and website On-Demand) and Musical Accessories (reeds, mouthpieces, cases, strings, stands, straps, cables, gifts, gift cards and more!). We also have a small selection of microphones and PA equipment and can take special orders for items that we don’t usually stock as long as we can verify availability.

  • What other services do you offer (not already listed)? Playground offers piano moving and shipping (domestic US and Canada only), guitar restringing and minor repair, consignment and ebay services (in some cases), musician and teacher referrals, recital hall rentals and occasional free music workshops and clinics. We can outsource other services as needed.

  • Can I take music lessons? Yes! For $90/mo with a one-time $25 registration fee, our FWB and PC stores offer various music lessons from professional qualified music educators in our private lesson studios. We can teach all ages (age limits vary by teacher) from beginners to advanced regardless of your previous experience. We also have numerous DVD and CD courses for sale.   • Do you have more than 1 location? Yes, most of our products and services are available at our Fort Walton Beach, Panama City and Virtual Stores. We are also on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Google (see links at the bottom of this website). View our Contact Us page for directions, contact info and hours of operation.

  • Do you buy instruments or take trade-ins or consignments? As of 2007, we cannot purchase or consign used instruments due to changes in Florida State laws requiring a pawnbroker license. We are allowed to take trade-ins, however. We usually ask that you bring the item with you to one of our stores for evaluation. In the case of Pianos, we can send an evaluator to the location of the instrument or send our delivery truck for pickup at your location. Contact Us with your specifics.

  • Do you have Gift Certificates and Gift Cards? Both are available for purchase at our stores or online in any dollar amount you wish. They make a great gift! We also have a Gift Registry available online for your convenience.

  • Can I finance a purchase? We offer various in-house and third-party financing at competitive rates for qualified individuals and organizations.

  • What about returns, warrantees and price guarantees? We accept returns under some conditions See our Return Policy page for details. We honor all manufacturer’s warrantys unless stated otherwise. Our used Pianos generally carry AT LEAST a one-year warranty, and many new pianos are warranteed for 10 years or more. See store for details. We strive to provide competitive pricing on everything we sell and will match or beat competitor’s pricing in most cases. We want your business! In the case of call-to-order or zero-priced items, we cannot guarantee completion of an order and we do reserve the right to cancel any orders that are unfillable for any reason.
